As you come in through the beautiful Oak door, down a few steps to your right, you enter the “Wine Press Room” (so called because there was a wine press when we bought the house). This is now a full sized twin bed room, with en-suite shower room and built in cupboards.
Up the steps from the front door, is a lobby with WC, and the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. The window looks out over the street, but is high enough so that you can see out, and passers-by cannot see in!
Taking the stairs up to the second floor, brings you to the open plan living room, which has a wonderful real fireplace for log fires in the winter, and also Sky TV, Internet wi-fi and telephone access for workaholics. The Sofas could turn into a bed if required.
Finally, up the stairs again to the top floor. This was originally the granary, and has been turned into the main bedroom, with a king-sized double bed, en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and WC, and a walk-in dressing room.
”The house is modern, yet we hope it retains much of its original character“
It has been converted into a four level/room house, sleeping four comfortable - five at a push.
We are delighted that it has been much admired by village residents.
